Read a word a hundred times - with luck you might remember it.Say a word ten times - you could remember it.USE a word correctly two or three times - you'll remember it.Words 'learnt' from lists just end up in your passive vocabulary - OK for reading or listening. Words learnt because you know how to use them (and pronounce them!) are in your active vocabulary - and this is the important one.

The reply is good. But I can't ask questions in the morning. It is not convenient.

Assignment 7--A song from Youtube

Carpenters - Yesterday Once More

Lyrics for "Yesterday Once More"

When I was young

I'd listened to the radio

Waitin' for my favorite songs

When they played

I'd sing along

It made me smile

Those were such happy times

And not so long ago

How I wondered where they'd gone

But they're back again

Just like a long lost friend

All the songs I loved so well

(*) Every Sha-la-la-la

Every Wo-wo-wo

Still shines

Every shing-a-ling-a-ling

That they're starting to sing's

So fine

When they get to the part

Where he's breakin' her heart

It can really make me cry

Just like before

It's yesterday once more

Lookin' back on how it was

In years gone by

And the good times that I had

Makes today seem rather sad

So much has changed

It was songs of love that

I would sing to then

And I'd memorize each word

Those old melodies

Still sound so good to me

As they melt the years away

Repeat (*)

All my best memories

Come back clearly to me

Some can even make me cry

Just like before

It's yesterday once more

Repeat (*)

Assignment 6:Reflection on Steve Jobs' talk

The expressions I learn from Steve Job's talk
(1)I am honored to be with you today .
(2)It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
(3)None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life.
(4)You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.
(5)But something slowly began to dawn on me — I still loved what I did.
(6)It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.
(7)It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it.
(8)As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.
(9)So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.
(10)Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.
(11)It was their farewell message as they signed off.

Reflection on Steve Job's thought
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. " I like this concept.

I am always regretful for something stupid I did before.
After listening this speech,I think that maybe the things I did are not totally useless.
If I had not those failure before, I will not progress.
So I must believe myself. Just do something what I want.
